  I'm surprised this place only has 3.5 stars.. it certainly deserves a lot more credit. I arrived around 4 pm for a late lunch by myself and was seated promptly. Service was quick and polite they serve tea the moment you are seated.. (quite a standard in Vietnamese restaurants nonetheless) I ordered immediately as I am loyal to my rare beef pho with rice noodles.. the broth was hot and very flavourful not too salty, noodles were cooked perfectly. Toppings were fresh and delicious. I would have to say for my first time here I will definitely return and it might just have taken #1 for my fave pho in Toronto!!

  So colleagues of mine have recommended that I try Pho cuisine. I wanted to give it a go. After all, I had ramen and loved every spoonful of it. Since my girlfriend is a picky eater and wanted pizza instead, we made a compromise. We'd go to the nearby 2-4-1 where she'd get her pizza and I'd get my pho. She said she'd wait until I see about a pick up in case they were a sit-in only restaurant, bless her heart.
  I think the very second I walked in, I was put off. The entire place smelled like garbage. It must have been from the broth or something but it smelled very unappetizing. I asked the lady at the counter if they serve take out and she said yes. It was then that I knew my fate was sealed. I looked at their menu and had very little idea how it all worked. There was a list of noodle soups with various ingredients added in. I decided on the rare beef with balls of meat just to be on the safe side. In case I loved it (remember, I'm expecting this to taste as good as ramen), I get the large cup.
  As I wait for my food to be made, my girlfriend tells me that Smells Like Teen Spirit is playing on the radio at the 2-4-1. I walk over to converse with her while listening to my favourite song. She's having a pizza with pepperoni, extra cheese and black olives. For such a picky eater, she was always quite partial for black olives. Weirdo.
  Anyways, I head back and receive my pho. It's kept in a styrofoam tray and a cylindrical tub filled with broth and sausage balls. As I take it to the car, my girlfriend makes a toilet joke at my expense after seeing the tub. We take it home and as I admire my girlfriend's pizza, I wince at the looming smell of reeking pho. It's as if I never left the restaurant. I open the tray to see an assortment of leaves, thinly sliced beef, and a whole wad of stringy noodles. It only took me a moment to realize that you are supposed to put these items INSIDE the cylindrical tub to act as ramen. Simple enough. I try one slice of rare beef.. it was cold and flavourless... so I put the rest into the broth, hoping it would add some sort of flavour. Putting the noodles in was a real challenge. I knew there was no way I could put that many noodles inside without spilling smelly broth everywhere so I put only a forkful into it. I took a sip... it was strong and it left a bad taste in my mouth. I tried the balls and honestly, they were tasty! It's just a shame that three bites in, a horrid aftertaste came out of nowhere that made my stomach churn. That's when I gave up. There was no way I could eat this and I promptly dumped it into the toilet where it belonged. Thankfully, my girlfriend offered the rest of her pizza to me after she saw how cheated I felt. Maybe there are better places that serve better pho but from what I've seen, it's going to be a long time before I ever eat it again!

  I've been here a few times and the service is always nice. I've gotten mostly their Vermicelli noodle dishes which come with a fried spring roll, a meat topping and sometimes pork floss mixed with cold glass noodles and they've always been tasty and not heavy on the stomach. I'veI also had the stir-fried beef on a sizzling plate and they were well-marinated and delicate to the bite. The fried spring rolls on their own are always to die for here, and that's why I like having the Vermicelli noodle so I can have their extra chewy-crunch with the noodles. On a recent trip my friend had Beef Wonton Noodle Soup and when tried a spoonful of the broth it was was just soothing to the tongue.
  I really like coming here whenever there is a chance and I will be returning again soon.
